Beginning

I was never encouraged to dream, I was to follow the norm to be, to exist not to step outside the box.  Girls did't do that.  I was to grow up to be a wife, mother, a helpmate.  I was not encouraged to imagine a world where I could be what ever I wanted to be.

Eleanor Roosevelt said,  "Remember always that you not only have the right to be an individual, you have an obligation to be one. "
So I dared to dream, hope and to believe in myself.

My father was my insperation to start my journey to myself.  He has journaled since he left to join the army in World War II, and at the age of 90 he still journals today.

I started journaling to relieve stress and anger, never with a thought that I would be searching for my dream.  My journaling started out as purely a release, to write it down close the journal and have some peace.

So begin as I did.

 PERSONAL GROWTH AND GOALS

To stand still is to die a little each day.  We need to strive for something better, greater for our todays and tomorrows. We grow by chance or through mindful action.

Many of us do our best when we have specific goals in mind.  I make a list each day then love to cross off what I have accomplished,  It doesn’t matter if we change focus; our goals are no one else’s business.

Journaling can be a benefit to healthy living.  Approach journaling with humor and leave the “I should haves” and the guilt trips behind.  You are journaling for yourself not for an audience or anyone else.  This is your journey, Dare, Dream, Hope, Believe.

Start your journal, it dosen't have to be a fancy book, or journal, just start writing, now.
